Lucy is a female tortoiseshell cat who was signed over by her owner who can no longer look after her pets. She is very people shy and mostly keeps to herself, but she will allow you to stroke her after some persuasion.
Gert is a 7 year old Tabby cat who was brought in after his owner suffered a stroke and could no longer care for him. He is very friendly and think he is the man in the cattery. He likes a visit from humans ever so often.
Mo came to KAWS as a kitten along with her mom and 3 siblings in 2009. The rest of her family all found homes but Mo is still waiting. She gets on very well with her friends but avoids contact with humans although lately she enjoys being stroked.
Bianca has been at KAWS since 2009, which is probably the longest out of all the cats. She’s a shy girl and avoids human contact although she is definitely interested, especially when there are treats around! She gets on very well with all her friends at KAWS.
Figaro is a 14 year old Tabby and one of our geriatrics. He is the sweetest most loving boy, always ready to greet a visitor and enjoys a lap. He was signed over in early 2017 as his owner was relocating. He would make a good companion to an older family.
Jack is a 1 year old tabby who can be very shy around humans. He gets on very well with the other cats in the cattery but can be a bit skittish when it comes to humans. Jack has been waiting for his forever home since November 2016.
Jill is a 1 year old tabby cat who was found in the bushes with her brother Jack. It’s believed that she is feral and can be quite shy but still comes out to check when humans are nearby. Like Jack she has been waiting for a loving home since November 2016.
Raven is a black girl who is about 6 years old. She really enjoys attention but does not like to share it. She mostly keeps to herself and will need to go to a home where she gets individual attention. She has been waiting for a new home since June 2015.
Stella is a pale tricolor female who is about 7 years old. She passes her days sleeping but has her moments. She enjoys attention but mostly keeps to herself. She would do well as an only cat. She was signed over in February 2016 and has been waiting for a new home ever since.
Savannah is a 1 year old tabby cat who was signed over by her owner who relocated and could not take her with. She’s a very social kitty and loves attention. Savannah would do great with a young loving family. She has been waiting for a new home since July 2016.
Sponge is a 14 year old tortoiseshell who is another one of our geriatrics in the cattery. Very interesting is that she has a stumpy tail! She was signed over by her owner who relocated and could not take her with. She is very friendly and loving and would make a good companion to an older person. She has been waiting for a new home since March 2017.
Presley is 12 years old and currently in foster care, he left home when his owners adopted a dog. This loving boy roamed the streets for some months before moving in with a new family. He loves the company of humans and would love to go to a forever home.
Grommit is a young handsome tabby boy who can be very shy and reserved. He was brought in as feral cat who had already had contact with humans. There is no aggression and he has slowly made some positive moves. He would do well with a more senior family who does not expect too much of him.
Sokkies was 2 years old when he came to KAWS in 2014. He was signed over by his owner who was relocating and could not take him with. He is a sweet soul who sometimes seems to think he is top cat (until put in his place!) Still he is very playful and mixes well with the other cats.
Jinx, a neutered boy was picked up in Betty’s Bay in July 2017. He was advertised on social media and posters put up in town but to no avail. He is a very sweet, quiet and friendly boy and very adoptable.
Whitey was brought into KAWS on 15 June 2017, at first it was thought that he could be feral but it turned out he was ill. Now after being in the cattery for a few months he has warmed up to humans. He could be 2 to 3 years old, loves attention and would make some human a good companion.
Cheeky was brought into KAWS on 1 December 2015 as her owners were immigrating to the USA and could not take her with. A very sweet and relaxed girl who enjoys attention and would love a new home of her own.
